The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the full schedule for Pakistan Super League 2026, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting and historic season of franchise cricket. The 11th edition of the league is scheduled to run from 26 March to 3 May, with a total of 44 matches spread across six cities in Pakistan. Eight Teams Ready for Battle
PSL 2026 will feature two new franchises alongside the six established sides. The expanded lineup includes:
- Hyderabad Kingsmen
- Rawalpindi Pindiz
- Islamabad United
- Karachi Kings
- Lahore Qalandars
- Multan Sultans
- Peshawar Zalmi
- Quetta Gladiators
The addition of Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz follows the latest franchise auction, in which both new teams were acquired by their respective owners for significant sums. The expansion reflects the growing appeal and commercial success of the league.
In the group stage, each team will play ten matches. The top four teams on the points table will qualify for the playoffs, which include Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Final.
Opening Match and Key Fixtures
The tournament will begin with an anticipated fixture at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where defending champions Lahore Qalandars will host the Hyderabad Kingsmen on 26 March. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium is expected to host the largest number of matches among all venues, including multiple double‑header days.
Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will be another major venue, hosting six matches throughout the season. It has a rich PSL history, having staged several finals and high‑profile games in past editions.
Peshawar’s Imran Khan Cricket Stadium is set to welcome its first PSL match on 28 March, when Peshawar Zalmi face Rawalpindi Pindiz. This is a milestone for the city, which has not hosted PSL action in previous seasons.
The first PSL match in Faisalabad will be played on 9 April at Iqbal Stadium, with Lahore Qalandars facing Islamabad United. The inclusion of Faisalabad as a host city is a notable development for fans in the region.
Multan Cricket Stadium will host four matches, all featuring the home side Multan Sultans, while Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is scheduled to host 11 fixtures, including at least one playoff match.
Playoffs and Final
After the group stage wraps up, the playoff phase will begin on 28 April, culminating in the grand final at Gaddafi Stadium on 3 May. A reserve day has also been set aside for 4 May should weather or other delays affect the title match.
