The most recent ICC Women’s T20I rankings, which were released on Tuesday, show that Pakistani women cricketers have improved significantly.
Sadia Iqbal, a left-arm spinner, is still the top T20I bowler in the world with 746 points. With steady play, she maintains her position as the leader in the rankings, ahead of many of the best players from around the world.
Nida Dar has risen to 33rd in the bowling rankings, while Captain Fatima Sana has moved up one spot in the all-rounder rankings and is now ranked 13th. Nida is rated as the sixth best all-around athlete in the globe.
With 704 points, Nashra Sandhu is now ranked eighth among Pakistani bowlers in the top 10. In the bowling category, Fatima has kept her 38th rank.
But none of the Pakistani batters are among the top 20 in the batting order. Muneeba Ali is ranked 36th overall, with Nida Dar coming in at 39th.
With 794 points, Australia’s Beth Mooney is still the best batter in the world rankings, followed by Hayley Matthews of the West Indies and Smriti Mandhana of India, who has moved ahead of Tahlia McGrath to take third place.
Deepti Sharma of India has been replaced by Australia’s Annabel Sutherland in the bowling rankings, who is now second, while Lauren Bell of England has moved up to fourth place.
With 505 points, Hayley Matthews is still ahead in the all-rounder rankings, followed by Amelia Kerr of New Zealand.
