Ashwin’s Emotional Reply During YouTube Live
During a YouTube Live session on May 27, a CSK fan commented:
“Hi dear Ashwin, with lots of love, please leave my lovely CSK family.”
Ashwin, known for his outspoken nature, responded with grace and emotion:
“I can understand his love for CSK, but let’s not make mistakes when speaking out of emotion. I have the same love, maybe even more.”
“If you give me the ball, I will bowl. If you give me the bat, I will bat. I’ve worked extremely hard. I’m aware of the areas I need to improve—especially during the powerplay. I’ve given away too many runs and I will work on creating more options next year.”
Ashwin on His Deep Bond With CSK
Ashwin emphasized that his connection with CSK runs deep, tracing back to his early IPL days.
“I love this team more than any of you. I was part of CSK in 2009 and 2010. I’ve played for this team for seven years. I’ve helped qualify for playoffs and I’ve lifted the IPL trophy with CSK.”
“Seeing the team like this for the first time genuinely hurts. That’s why I’ve been sitting in a corner crying. But my focus is already on what to do next—this is my goal.”
What Lies Ahead for Ashwin and CSK?
After an underwhelming season, Ashwin’s future with Chennai Super Kings remains uncertain. With the IPL 2026 retention window approaching, CSK management faces a tough decision: whether to back the experienced spinner or move on.
Despite criticism, Ashwin remains committed and motivated to bounce back stronger, demonstrating the same passion that once made him a key part of CSK’s golden era.
